The new Razer Blade Pro looks amazing on the outside, it is incredibly slim and light, it is only 0.88 inches thin and weighs a staggering 6.5 pounds. These two features already make it seem ultra portable, it is the thinnest and weighs the least of all of its challengers out there on the market. On the sides of this amazing laptop you will find 3x USB 3.0 ports, 1 Ethernet LAN connector, 1 headphone jack, 1 microphone port and 1 HDMI port.

The keyboard is one of the most exciting parts on this incredible laptop, you get an awesome LED backlit keyboard which brilliantly lights up the keys but also on the keyboard you get a separate 17-in LED display, this touch screen allows you do separate operations than you would do on the normal screen, like scroll your twitter feed, view you tube videos or even look at this blog! Above this mini screen you will find 10 adaptive tactile keys, these keys make the screen extremely interactive for you. This laptop is a complete genius when is comes to portability. It is incredibly powerful but yet so portable with how light and thin it is. Razer had put a lot of their time and effort getting the balance between making a laptop which is portable and powerful. They have finally now made a laptop that can be considered as ultra portable and ultra powerful.

The operating system for this laptop is Windows 8.1, the new windows 8 has become a bit of a let down recently with some bad reviews but whatever you do, don’t not let this put you off buying this laptop because windows 8 will not effect the speed of this this laptop.

The Razer Blade also has a  built in 2.0 MP HD webcam camera which would be ideal if you want to Skype call your friends or do a live commentary of your game as it would go hand in hand with the gaming capabilities of this laptop.

The Novation Lanuchpad and Ableton Live

Novation Launchpad And Ableton LIVE.

The Novation Launchpad is a new rising product by the upcoming music technology company Novation. The launch pad contains 64 buttons that can be programmed to light up and make different sounds with the music technology software Ableton LIVE that comes for free with the launch pad itself. Ableton LIVE is extremely well at performing the simple tasks with a launchpad with it well organised, easy to navigate and interactive layout. You can get the music you want to create or the song you want to cover to work seamlessly with the Ableton software. This software also allows you to do a lighting show on your launchpad, You can play a song and produce lighting at the same time.

There are two types of launchpad, the launchpad S ant the launchpad MINI. The launchpad S is designed to give you the full experience of what a launchpad really is with each button being easy to press down which means when you are performing music there is no hassle with buttons not working. On the other hand the launchpad mini is a much cheaper and is a just as good alternative to its brother because it is much more portable, this launchpad would be ideal for you if you want to make music on the go, it is much smaller, this could prove to be a problem to people with big fingers because the buttons are considerably thinner than the launchpad S. Overall the launchpad mini is good because it offers all of the software and features you get in the launchpad S at a cheaper price.

The design of a launchpad is very nice, the buttons are square shaped and rubber which are very easy to be pushed down. The buttons on the launchpad have the compatibility to light up different colours, this also adds to how interactive it really is! It would work on almost any computer or laptop you have, only the launchpad mini is capable to work with an Ipad with to Novation Launchpad app. The app is free on IOS on the app store and works with the launchpad mini, it does work great but it is no alternative to using Ableton which comes for free with both launch pads and works seamlessly with both of them, a positive about the app is that it adds to the portability of the launchpad mini when traveling.

When you take pricing into account they are both reasonably priced. The Launchpad S comes in at around 150 English pounds and the launchpad mini comes in at 75 English pounds and is nearly the same as its twin launchpad.
